Description
This lino-cut forms part of a series from my “Artist-in-Residence” at The Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival 2018 in Colne. I wanted to sketch Katie from the side of the stage which involved crawling under the stage to my chosen view-point. I really liked the way the spotlight lit Katie as she turned towards the rest of the band. I initially had a different title for this work but Katie commented that I had captured her “soulshine”..so that just had to be included!
