Ghost Of Our Old Tomcat

This is a second impression monotype (sometimes referred to as a “ghost” print) which was reworked using washes consisting of oil based intaglio ink diluted with distilled turpentine together with areas of impasto using titanium white oil paint. It is inspired by momentary and mistaken “sightings” of our one of our late cats..the sightings are usually of a bag or coat or whatever in our peripheral…
