Colne Blues 2017 and 2018

It was a great honour to be invited to The Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival  2017 as “Artist-in-Residence” by the organisers…the good news is that I’ve been invited back again as Artist-in-Residence for 2018!

It is still early days yet but following the live sketching and studio produced trace mono-prints I’ve been busy working on around ten paintings and I’ve probably five more that I’ve yet to start. I’ve tried to start the paintings in the order in which I saw the acts….but this does not mean that they get resolved in this order….here are the paintings that are now complete: Tom Attah, Lachy Doley, Crosscut Saw and Ian Siegal.

Update: Monday 18th December 2017…I have been working on a canvas prompted by the high energy Gerry Jablonski Band and I think it is finally finished….see below
