Description
This lino-cut forms part of a series from my “Artist-in-Residence” at The Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival 2018 in Colne. I wanted to sketch the band from stage right because there was some stage furniture which I felt interfered visually when sketching from stage left. There are only two ways to get to the stage right area, across the stage or underneath it. Walking across the stage during a performance was not an option so I crawled underneath the stage to sketch the band. I did not realize when I started it but this is the largest lino-cut I have ever done.
